Reggie Jackson might be seeing his Starter Role disappear, with Ish Smith stepping up.

Stan Van Gundy, Pistons’ Head Coach, said: “Those are the two guys [Jackson and Drummond]. The energy has got to go up. Andre picked up his energy the other night but that’s got to be on a consistent basis, and we need more energy out of Reggie. We’ve got to get better energy off the start of the games. The last Philadelphia game was one of our better starts in each half. That’s got to get going — that’s not just him (Jackson). Anything’s possible right now, but we’ve got to get playing better and we’ve got to get our first unit playing more consistently and playing better.”

The Pistons enter a key stretch of their season with just a one game lead over the eighth seed.

Ish Smith might supposedly start against the Sixers, as Jackson’s Energy is not being the one Van Gundy is looking.

Smith is averaging 8.3 PPG, 5 APG and 2.7 RPG in 23.6 MPG, while Jackson is averaging 14.7 PPG (Career-Low as a Starter), 5.5 APG (Career-Low as a Starter) and 2.2 RPG (Career-Low as a Starter) in 28.3 MPG (Career-Low as a Starter).
